Dogs & Toddlers Educational Seminar

Dogs & Toddlers Educational Seminar

Is your baby getting ready to crawl or walk?

Many dogs become uncomfortable with the changes and increased movements as your baby becomes a toddler.

Dogs & Toddlers™ is an international program for families with dogs and babies who are becoming mobile. This two hour seminar is packed with vital information to help parents be proactive and plan ahead for success for baby and family dog at each stage of mobility.  Topics such as adjusting management and activities for each stage of development, encounters with new dogs, recognizing the subtle language of dogs, common myths and misconceptions parents have, and much more will be covered during this fun and informative seminar.

Workshop key topics of discussion include:

  • Five types of supervision

  • Management techniques in your home environment

  • Grumble zones/growl zones

  • How to understand your dog's body language and responses to your toddler

  • Fun and interactive ways to include your dog in your daily activities

  • And much more!

Presented by Jessica Lehr, KPA CTP, a Licensed Educator for Family Paws Parent Education Programs, Karen Pryor Certified Animal Behavior Trainer, and a mother of a young son with first-hand knowledge of the challenges families with dogs can face during early parenthood.
